The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), with support from the Korean Poverty Fund, are inviting research institutions or individual researchers to participate in a call for proposals to strengthen civil and identification registries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

Thanks to an innovative program called PROEMPLEO, a collaborative effort between the private and public sector in Honduras, it has provided more than 9,600 jobs for young people where they were once interns.

Within ten days following the January 2010 earthquake, the MIF had submitted to its Donors Committee and received approval for the Haiti Emergency Spending Allocation Request (HESAR) Program. The HESAR Program invested nearly US$3 million in the resumption of economic activity of 16 of the MIF’s local partners, which enabled them to restart business operations to their 338,000 clients and beneficiaries.
